Literature Text

Evil is not always pure evil. Every person has good and bad points in himself. It’s just that sometimes one of them takes rule of the other. You must get to know a person well to be able to judge him. Diana could only question herself why with every day passing by she wanted to go out of the Sanctuary more when she had free time. To meet him..?

The Pictor saint landed on the ground, almost falling on her knees. After a long and hard training she felt exhausted but she didn’t want to show that. She tried to keep going on. But what good can trying to train when you’re really tired do? Diana stood and waited for Mu to attack, even if she saw the gold saint walking towards her with no intention to do so.
“That will be enough for today.” Mu said in his soft voice when he stopped near Diana. “I can see that you’re tired. You should better rest.”
“What? Master Mu, I am not tired at all.” Diana immediately saw that it was no use arguing, so she looked down.
“Could we talk for a moment?” such a question coming from Mu surprised Diana a little.
“Of course, master Mu.” The girl nodded.

Mu sat down on a large rock. For a moment he was silent, thinking about something while Diana was looking at him and waiting patiently. Even if it took only a few moments, a lot of things crossed their minds.
“Diana…” the wind carried the word far away without a thought of bringing it back. Diana stood like a stone after she heard her name. Mu’s eyes were so beautiful, she felt warm only after looking at them. Diana felt like she was protected, that nothing bad could happen to her now. Mu’s eyes could hypnotize so suddenly.

The Pictor saint felt her cheeks blush because of Mu’s gaze at her and she was thankful to her mask for covering her face. She ought to think of Mu only as her master. Nothing more. When the sun hid behind clouds, the wind became a little bit stronger. It made Diana come back to her senses.
“I’m worried about you.” Diana blinked at those words that came from Mu’s lips.
“About me..? Why?” she asked, wondering what she was doing that made him worry.
“Lately after your training you have been going out of the Sanctuary more, almost every day.” Did she meet someone?..
“T-that’s because…” Diana stood silent for some time, thinking what she should answer. “I just felt that taking a walk helps me to relax. Please do not worry, master Mu. I’m perfectly fine.” She tried to smile.
Mu sighed and looked at the ground. “You know, you remind me of chamomile. Have you heard a story about it?”
“No, I haven’t…” Diana thought for a moment but she really hasn’t heard any story about this flower. She sat down next to Mu, listening to his calm voice tone while he was telling the story.

A chamomile was a flower that didn’t want any attention from others. She didn’t like other flowers or people stare at her because she thought she was not pretty. Why else would anyone stare at her if not to laugh later, behind her back, at how ugly this flower was and that it was not worth to be among others? Chamomile’s life was not like she had expected. She wished to be equally beautiful, loved and accepted. However, she didn’t have enough courage to change this by herself.

Once this chamomile fell in love with the wind. Whenever he passed by, she’d swing, trying to reach him with her small petals. No matter how hard she tried, she could not do it. Day by day she lost trust until she stopped reaching for the impossible. She understood that she fell in love with someone she wasn’t supposed to. This love was one-sided, not possible to come true.

And yet, chamomile didn’t stop loving the wind. She watched him from far away, keeping her feelings hidden inside of her heart, not letting them show. With the love in her heart chamomile grew and became a simple, yet a very pretty flower.

Diana looked at the sky, wondering for a few minutes. “But… this story doesn’t suit me.”
“Except for the last words.” Mu added, looking at his apprentice. He smiled. Mu was sure that there was something more in this story that reminded of Diana.

The Pictor saint stared at her master full of surprise. She searched but didn’t find proper words to say. Did he really mean it?
“It’s a very interesting story. I’m really glad you told it to me. Thank you, master Mu.” Diana said, drawing circles with her finger on the rock. Not even waiting for Mu’s answer, Diana jumped and turned at him. “I’d like to go to the seaside. May I..?”
“Of course you can.” There was no reason for Diana to ask permission to go where she wanted. Not any more as she was a saint of Pictor now, not only a trainee.

Waving, Diana left the training place and went towards the sea. She hasn’t been there for a long time and the wind’s breeze felt wonderful. While walking in the water, Diana remembered the story she had just heard.
“Chamomile’s so simple, yet, so pretty, huh? But… I’m not pretty.” What didn’t cross Diana’s mind at that moment was that the chamomile used to think just the same. “Maybe it’s because I like when the wind is blowing?” No, it couldn’t be that. Suddenly, a thought struck Diana. She sat down on the sand and took off her mask, placing it beside her. Of course… she was in love with someone she wasn’t supposed to be in love with. And her love was one-sided, impossible… Diana’s fate is the same as chamomile’s. That was why Diana was like a chamomile.

“I thought I’d find you here.” A well known voice interrupted Diana’s thoughts and the girl saw Minos come closer. He was here again… But the girl was not afraid anymore after they had met a lot of times. It was the opposite. She wanted to see him. “Why are you so sad today?”
“I’m not sad.” Diana answered and looked back at the sea. “It’s just that I feel tired, that’s all.”
“Oh?” Minos sat near Diana and looked at the blue haired girl. Slowly, he reached her hair with his hand and brushed them. The girl looked at Minos who just smiled at her. Why did her heart suddenly start beating faster..? Diana didn’t want to accept that she could have feelings for this cruel man. Yet… these days Minos has been so kind. Diana could see that he was not as bad as he seemed at first. Noone is pure evil.

Minos could hardly believe that he actually fell in love with a mortal. He denied it only a few days ago but now he understood he didn’t feel sorry about that. It seems like love isn’t something bad after all and it can visit a cold heart as well. You only need time and to find that one, right person. And Minos has already found her. She was here, right beside him.

The specter didn’t even feel how he leaned towards Diana, putting his hands from both sides of the girl as if imprisoning her so she would not run away. However, the girl quickly turned away from him. Her cheeks immediately blushed and only then she remembered she had her mask off.

Of course, it was probably that man she was thinking about. Minos cursed in his mind. Brushing some hair, that were covering Diana’s face, away, Minos made the girl look at him.
“Tell me. Do you feel anything for me?” the man asked. After Diana heard this question, she blushed even more.
“I… I don’t know. Maybe… Or maybe not.” She was lost in her own feelings now. After Minos let Diana free, she grabbed her mask and covered her face with it. She was reckless once again.
“I must leave...” Diana said and without a second thought ran back, towards the Sanctuary.

The night came quickly. All this time Diana was in her room, looking out of the window. Can anyone explain what madness was in her heart right now?
So, here's chapter six ^^ I kind of planned the rest of the story so it will have, I hope, only two more small chapters ^^

I' not sure why I chose a chamomile for Diana. Maybe because when you see this flower somewhere it doesn't give you the impression of the most beautiful flower. It's really simple and kind of forgotten. Honestly, there aren't many people who like this flower ^^ Most are neutral to it. So.. it sort of suits Diana xD

Also, the story about chamomile is completely created by me xD I searched all over the internet and couldn't find anything. Only one story that didn't suit what I needed. The only thing I used from that story was that a chamomile fell in love with the wind. It gave me a great idea ^^

Anyway... I hope you like the chapter ^^U
